A rare and striking original French promotional poster for Howard Hawks’ landmark gangster film *Scarface* (1932), released in France as *Scarface, Ennemi Public N°1* (Public Enemy No. 1). Distributed by Les Films Georges Muller (FGM), Paris, this is a double-sided pressbook-style folded poster designed by artist L. Chanay, whose signature appears on the front. The front face features a bold red and cream composition with a painted central portrait of Paul Muni as Toni Camonte, surrounded by black-and-white photographic stills from the film. The hand-lettered title ‘SCARFACE’ is rendered in dramatic flame-like brushstroke typography in red. Cast credits list Paul Muni, Georges Raft, Boris Karloff, and Ann Dvorak. Some cracking along fold lines on the painted/printed surface, especially visible in the dark areas of the central figure. No visible tape residue.
