Original screen-printed concert poster for Death Cab for Cutie performing at The Showbox in Seattle, Washington on November 21st and 22nd. Supporting acts listed are Nada Surf and The Catch (November 21st) and Nada Surf and Smoosh (November 22nd). The shows were presented by The Showbox, Sonic Boom, Seattle Weekly, and 90.3 KEXP. Tickets were $13.00 advance / $15.00 day of show, with doors at 8PM for 21+ and all-ages doors at 6PM.
Designed by Jeff Kleinsmith of Patent Pending Press, the poster features a striking bold yellow background with a large skull-headed winged skeleton figure rendered in black and blue, surrounded by smaller skeletal silhouettes in a post-apocalyptic landscape. The hand-rendered typography for the band name integrates a small skull motif at the top. The artwork is characteristic of Kleinsmith’s celebrated Pacific Northwest gig poster aesthetic, combining raw screen-print textures with dark surrealist imagery. The side margin identifies this as part of a 2006 Anniversary Set reprint or special edition. The poster bears a hand-applied signature, believed to be Jeff Kleinsmith’s, in pencil at the bottom right. A highly collectible piece for fans of Death Cab for Cutie, indie rock poster art, and Pacific Northwest music history.
Poster appears in very good condition overall. No visible tears, heavy creases, or foxing observed in the detail shots. The deckled/torn right edge appears to be a printing/trimming characteristic rather than damage. Pencil signature present at bottom right.
