A tall, narrow Japanese B2-style promotional poster for the Toei (東映) yakuza action film ‘暴力団再武装’ (Bōryokudan Saibusō – roughly ‘Gang Rearmament’ or ‘Mob Rearmed’), directed by 佐藤純弥 (Sato Junya). The tagline in bold red reads ‘縄張を守れ！非情の至上命令下る’ – ‘Protect the turf! A ruthless supreme order is given.’ The poster is a striking vertical format combining dramatic brushstroke kanji titling in dark teal-black ink with a composite illustration and photographic montage of the cast. The central figure is a grinning man in a white shirt clutching a sword with blood on his hands, surrounded by several other character portraits and a fight-scene photograph. The production credits list director Sato Junya, screenplay by Goto Hiroshige and Murao Akira, and cinematography by Yoshida Tatsu and Iimura Masahiko.
